what have you learned from your audience feedback?

Video:
We have used many social networking sites to publish our video and we've asked for critical responses from our audience.
Youtube response:
Tumblr,(I uploaded the video twice to get more reponses):
Quoted responses:
Hannah: "Oh is she dead? So he's pining over a lost love type thing?... Yeah I thought it was really good"

Our Model, Sammy, had not been informed of our grave yard shots and was only aware of her Haigh hall sequences. She previewed our video without any idea as to what happens.

Sammy: "You killed me! I can't believe you killed me...I really like t
his shot here *takes the video back to the tracking shot and walking sequence* it just flows really well with each other"

Evaluation:
Our narrative was important to our video as it lacked an Artist to take centre focus in the video. One of our important developments was the enigma build of our female model and serveral responses indicate that the resolution at the end r
eally sets the piece and everything becomes coherent.
Xantara2 from youtube (Who seems to be a successful video up-loader of Toyah Wilcox) made the point that there were no lip-syncing so the audience therefore can identify the artistic nature of our piece, she also stated it was unusual of the genre, but enjoyed the fact that it was different.

Calvino1234 suggested that the song was appropriate for the video which makes us more confident with the style we chose. More importantly he states tha
t he has no idea what was going on until the end, so the addition o
f the latter sequence were really a good choice and make it understandable for the major
ity of the audience!

Overall, we found that generally our audience's liked the
visual style and representation, they were a little confused within the middle of the video but the ending really strongly fixes this and the enigma that was build has a full resolution so that in their next viewing, audiences will understand more.

Print

With regards to print, here are some of the quoted responses to the completed cd case;

"I love the old book theme, it even seems like you're turning pages of a book when you open it up!"

"I like the way the cd shines a bit more light on the guy's deepest feelings and stuff. The way a couple of lines of lyrics have been picked out is cool."

"oh, that's the same picture of the girl as on the canvas!"

Having collected some responses to the cd case, we then gathered some feedback on the finished poster. Here are some of the quoted responses;

"it looks like a real advert you'd find in a music magazine!"

"I love the picture in the background, it's stunning!"

"I think it's really clever the way you've done the record company and page numbers and everything, it makes it look very professional."

"that canvas is in the video isn't it? Ooh I like that, it's vey consistent!"

overall, the feedback we received was vey positive. People liked the way in which a level of consistency was maintained throughout the video and the print, and it was also suggested that, the print products developed the story in the video slightly - for example, the cd was used to expose the male character more.
