We wanted to have a crescendo toward the end of the video that symbolises the build up of emotion the main boy is feeling and the conclusion it reaches. This leads up to the resolution of the video as the girl's death is revealed. Therefore, we had the main boy complete the painting then push the table with all of the paint materials over, creating a violent contrast to the rest of the calm, tranquil and mellow video. This is an explosive sequence showing chaos, reflecting the boy's inner thoughts and the conflict he feels within himself as he struggles to come to terms with his love's death.
