The most well known is BBC Radio Times and there are several examples below.

Their style is simplistic yet also quite sophisticated, as their audience is an older one. As we only really have BBC Radio times to look at, we will have to try and encorporate some of their traits and style, yet putting our own edge to it to make it look younger towards our target audience.
Developing the Double Page Spread
After looking at existing magazines that feature articles on Radio Dramas, we started to develop our own.
The initial idea is to go for a simplistic yet formal style, similar to the existing examples we have seen, yet, as our radio drama is trying to appeal to a younger audience, we are going to use brighter colours to reflect this, and Delilah's vibrant personality.
Playing on the speed dating scenes that we will be using in our radio drama, we thought we should try and incorporate this theme into our double page spread.

The timer is supposed to be similar to that which would be used at a speed dating event, to differentiate between the separate dates and the title is red to maintain continuity and visual appeal due to the red on the timer.

Another possible idea that we have had is to have the writing actually inside the timer.
This is another possible layout for the double page spread. The timers add into the theme of speed dating and the pictures fit with delilah. However, it looks really busy with the picture in the background along with the other photo. It needs a bit of work on the layout and made to look more simplistic so that it fits into the style as in Radio Times.
Final Stages of Double Page Spread
After looking at more examples of double page spreads from a radio listings magazine, BBC radio times, we have decided on a completely new layout. Most of the articles in the existing magazines have a main photo that takes up a large portion of the page, and it focus' a lot more on the images, rather than the writing. We have been playing about with possible photos and text layout on the photos.

This is the image that we are going to use. We feel that is sums up the type of character that Delilah is, and was one of our favourite images as the foreground was so busy yet we didn't loose the concentration on her. Evidence of the existing double pages is shown in the "Behind the scenes" feature that we included.
This was our first attempt at the new layout. The things that we really liked were the tick box ideas, to imply that it was a whole series of things that she has attempted to do to find love. Our least favourite part is the "What's next" we also have to be conscious of where the divide line would be.
