We chose to add the "Kerrang!" logo to our piece of work to provide it with a professional image that mimics that of real music television channels. Initially, we struggled to find a genre of music that our video and its accompanying music would fit into, so we thought about the style of music and decided it was a form of rock. We then placed the "Kerrang!" logo on the video because that is a music channel that only plays rock music videos. We placed the logo in the top left corner of the video, as is seen on the television channel itself, because we wanted to make our piece appear more authentic. However, although the logo featured on the television channel is white, we had to feature a black logo because the paler colours of our video would not allow a white logo to be seen effectively.
We also added the artist's name, song title and album name in the bottom left corner in white and placed a black box around them to make them distinguishable. Although this was created in a different style than reflected on the "Kerrang!" music channel, we could not replicate their style effectively due to not being able to have access to the technology required to create such effects.
