We created a split screen sequence following the theory of 'magic 3s', we did this by layers three shots of the character stumbling out of clubs, this is to add to the effect of chaos, and to show a jump in time.

to add to the momentum we used two video transitions 1) cross zoom 
This was really useful when moving from a long shot to a close up but make it look less 'choppy'. 2) Push 
'Push' is where one shot pushes the other shot of the screen here you can see another shot pushing from the left, 
we kept the time taken to get the new shot on screen really short so the effect was subtle, this effect was really good when switching from narrative strands - we swapped the direction that the shots were pushed to add to the effect of switching back and forth from the band and the girl.
