I took some prelim shots from different angles and captured the Rubix cube in a variety of ways.
In the end, I used this photo for the front cover:
I discovered a font on 'Dafont.com' which will be used throughout my print work and will become the recognised font of the artist/album.
Here is a finished copy of my front cover for my digipak album.

I edited the levels of saturation on the picture in order to create the 'light to dark' effect which helps to add a little suspense and mystery behind the music of this album. This also allowed me to vary the colours of both the album name and the album artist in black and white which definitely compliments one another enabling them to both stand out whilst not being the same as one and other.
I applied numerous effects on the fonts such as 'Drop Shadow', 'Inner Shadow', 'Outer Glow' and 'Inner Glow'. This provides the text with a professional feel and is a common convention of real media products.
