First Draft

We've finally got a first draft. We know that there is more to do but we wanted to show our tutor so that we knew what was required. After watching the trailer, we realised that we needed to alter the dubbing of the dialogue at the beginning to make it more clear which would be done by altering the audio gain of the soundtrack and the dialogue as they are two separate things. In addition, we thought that an extra hint of storyline was needed to string the trailer together. After vast discussion, we decided that the use of a voice over would spoil the effect that we wanted to create and therefore we needed to either add more dialogue or cleverly add more footage. We agreed that the use of a phone call to the kidnapper would be highly appropriate in the from of actor Liam Neeson in 'Taken'

Our script that we created for the phone call is...

Main character:

I don't know who you are and I don't know what you want. You may have taken Kasie, but I will find you. And I will kill you!

Kidnapper:

Good luck!!!

As well as this being very atmospheric for our genre, it would allow the audience to realise that the main characters sister who went missing, was taken by the kidnapper and that the main character WILL find her and possibly kill him along the way.
