An integral part of the narrative is the break up that leads to the artist's obsession of the girl. We thought about how the characters could break up and we concluded that we could have the artist going to meet his girlfriend and see her talking to and flirting with someone else. They have an argument after he confronts her and they break up as a result.
We collected some music videos showing scenes similar to the one we will create to provide us with inspiration on how to catch the emotion in the scene, as well as the types of shot we will use to capture it. In Beyonce's "If I Were a Boy" there are scenes of a man watching and looking upset as he watches Beyonce flirt with another man.
This video, "Love the Way You Lie" by Eminem and Rihanna shows some fight scenes to add extra drama:
