I have decided to take a literal approach in my video as the lyrics that I have written tell a significant story which would be great for a music video.
Here are the lyrics to my song:
Verse
They'd raise a quizical eyebrow
Everytime I tried to convince them
That I wasn't insane (anymore)
Can you blame me for
The constant disputes on the ward
They said 'You're clinically depressed with complimentary
confusion and a repulsion of humans, of course'
As if this mess was created by you,
As if I gave you the chance to.
It's all a game and they're inviting you to play
It's all a game.
It's all a game and they're inviting you to play
It's all a game.
Chorus
Reminisce this, Reminisce this...
Verse
Jackie called the tram
As her two sweet shoulders
Could no longer carry
The tiresome troubles of two.
A little accident to end her life
Means she'll never be hurt again by you.
Sounds more appealing than living life through,
Until the next time it bites you.
You held her in your arms and you said,
'I love you too'
When really you meant,
'I'm done with you.'
Chorus
Reminisce this, reminisce this...
____________________________________________
For the first verse, I plan to film my model in the contemplation room at college and make it look as though the actor is in a mental ward!
I want to have some slow motion action shots when the 'disputes' occur between the 'wardens' and the 'patient.'
I'd like to cut to myself singing and performing the song in various parts so that my video contains the 'story element' of the song and live action cuts of the performance of the song.
This is a technique used in many music videos so I feel that this would be a good way to create a good music video for my song.
